Willow Installations

The willow installations shown are examples of works already made.

These works are commissioned for a specific location.

A portfolio of collected works will be included and an interested individual may select one that they like and a unique work may be made with similar qualities though not the same as the one selected.

All willow works are done completely by hand. Native willow is harvested and shaped while green. It is drilled and wired at all joints. The wire is covered with paper and wood filler, sanded and the finished work is coated with white gesso or paint. A final coat is painted in a colour that suits the work. A darker colour is usually used as the works are considered to be drawing installations.
